A recent eMarketing survey suggests that most moms, who are Facebook users, are neutral about ads that appear on Facebook.
Whilst most respondents were ambivalent about brands encroaching on their “private” space there were some agitations as 1/3 of the sample said that they actively disliked Facebook ads.
The report then went on to discuss rules that need to be applied when using social media to reach moms. It listed amongst others.
Be honest
Don’t waste their time
Whilst this make sense in a market where most consumers have immediate access to the internet, the rules seem slightly obvious for the South African market where internet penetration is still hovering around the 10% mark.
If you are a young mom drop us a line and let us know what your opinion is on advertising on Facebook. As always we are very interested in your opinion.
